From Table Tennis to Tennis: CHINGMU Joins Forces with Unitree and Galbot on Three Major International Stages / Company Updates

2026/10/21

A ping-pong ball and a tennis ball made Chinese humanoid robots the focus of international stages this autumn.

In Kazakhstan, a Unitree robot delivered an impressive table tennis interaction.
At the 2026 China Open, Galbot's fully autonomous tennis robot stepped onto the court.
Later, AstraTennis appeared in Seoul, showcasing humanoid robot motion interaction to international audiences.

From table tennis to tennis, from real competition courts to international expos — CHINGMU, together with its two deep Embodied AI partners Unitree and Galbot, has supported the application and demonstration of robots across different sports scenarios through high-precision motion capture technology.

These are not only standout moments of Chinese robots stepping onto the international stage, but also a real-world demonstration of CHINGMU's motion perception and data technologies continuously expanding in the Embodied AI field.

01 Kazakhstan | High-Precision Motion Tracking Powering Unitree's Table Tennis Interaction

From October 1 to 3, AI & Digital Bridge 2026 was held in Kazakhstan. CHINGMU provided technical support for Unitree's table tennis demonstration, helping Chinese robots showcase their motion capabilities on a Central Asian international tech stage.

For humans, swinging a paddle to hit a ball is a familiar athletic motion. But for a robot, completing a stroke against a rapidly changing incoming ball requires the coordination of perception, prediction, planning, and motion control.

Table tennis, in particular, involves a small ball moving at high speed, with its flight direction constantly changing with each hit and collision — placing high demands on real-time tracking of a moving target. In this high-speed dynamic interaction scenario, CHINGMU's high-precision optical motion capture system provides real-time motion tracking support, enabling real-time 3D localization and motion tracking of both the high-speed ball and the robot itself, and capturing data such as the 3D positions, motion trajectories, and velocities of the ball and robot — providing external spatial information support for robot motion interaction.

These technical capabilities have also been validated by CHINGMU across multiple public robot projects:

  • AgiBot: During WAIC 2026, in the HOPE AI autonomous-decision humanoid robot table tennis exhibition presented jointly by AgiBot and teams including Peking University, CHINGMU's K Series motion capture system tracked the high-speed ball's 3D trajectory and the robot's spatial position at 300 fps, providing high-precision motion information for autonomous ball striking.

  • GigaAI: During WRC 2026, CHINGMU built a robot table tennis human-robot competition scenario for GigaAI. Through high-speed ball tracking and robot spatial localization, it provided data and technical support for high-dynamic robot motion.

  • EndlessAI: Its table tennis robot accurately recognized incoming ball trajectories and smoothly completed continuous forehand and backhand rallies. CHINGMU's MC Series motion capture system tracked the high-speed ball's 3D trajectory and the robot's spatial position in real time, providing high-precision motion information for autonomous ball striking.

From real-time tracking of high-speed moving targets to the acquisition of 3D spatial data, high-precision motion capture technology is playing a practical role in dynamic robot interaction scenarios.

Unitree has long been a deep partner of CHINGMU in the Embodied AI field. The two parties continue to explore the integration of motion capture, motion data, and robot technologies — enabling high-precision motion data to better serve robot applications and R&D.

02 From Beijing to Seoul | Partnering with Galbot to Bring Robot Tennis to the International Stage

Beijing China Open: A Humanoid Robot Steps onto a Professional Human Court for the First Time

During the 2026 China Open, Galbot officially became the "Designated Humanoid Robot of the 2026 China Open."

At the outdoor courts of the National Tennis Center, Galbot's fully autonomous tennis robot made its appearance, demonstrating the robot's motion interaction capabilities in a real tennis scenario. CHINGMU's high-precision motion capture system provided technical support for the demonstration, helping the robot perceive the court space and complete motion interactions.

Seoul, South Korea: The "AstraTennis Moment" Moves onto the International Tech Stage

From October 6 to 8, the Seoul AI Robot Show 2026 was held at COEX in Seoul, South Korea.

Following its appearance at the China Open, Galbot's fully autonomous tennis robot ET1 brought AstraTennis to South Korea, demonstrating robot tennis and human-robot interaction at the international tech exhibition. CHINGMU continued to provide high-precision motion capture technical support for the demonstration, helping the robot perceive the court space and complete motion interactions.

From Beijing to Seoul, this tennis demonstration reached a broader international audience. For the robot, an overseas appearance is not just a change of venue; it means its technical performance will be observed in more real-world environments and public scenarios — allowing more international audiences to see the innovative achievements of Chinese Embodied AI companies.

However, the collaboration between CHINGMU and Galbot extends far beyond robot tennis demonstrations.

The two parties engage in deep collaboration around robot motion data acquisition and performance evaluation. CHINGMU's motion capture system provides high-quality data and technical support for robot motion training and performance validation, helping robots continuously improve their motion performance in complex scenarios.

From real-world human motion data acquisition to robot learning and evaluation, both parties continue to explore more application value for high-precision motion data technology in the Embodied AI field.

03 From Real-World Motion to Intelligent Applications: Continuously Expanding the Embodied AI Collaboration Ecosystem

From Unitree's high-speed table tennis interaction to Galbot's fully autonomous tennis robot appearing at the China Open and in Seoul, these different motion tasks demonstrate the application potential of robots in real-world dynamic environments — and reflect the value of high-precision motion capture technology in motion perception and spatial data support.

As a deep partner of leading robotics companies including Unitree and Galbot, CHINGMU's technology applications have long extended beyond one-off demonstrations, continuously reaching into real-world data acquisition, robot learning, motion interaction, and performance evaluation.

With self-developed high-precision motion capture technology at its core, CHINGMU continues to expand its spatial perception, motion perception, and multimodal data capabilities — providing technical support for Embodied AI R&D and real-world applications.

From Chinese competition courts to international expos, from real-world motion data to intelligent robot applications, CHINGMU will continue to work with industry ecosystem partners to explore the application value of high-precision motion data technology across more scenarios.

From perception to data, from data to intelligence.

Letting China's Embodied AI innovations and high-precision motion data technology be seen on a broader international stage.
