CHINGMU Co‑Releases the 2026 China Embodied AI Data Collection Industry Development Blue Paper / Company Updates

2026/09/08

Recently, the 2026 China Embodied AI Data Collection Industry Development Blue Paper, jointly compiled by Zhixing Yuanjie, CHINGMU, and several other organizations, was officially released. As one of the co-publishing organizations, Zhang Haiwei, Founder & CEO of CHINGMU, served as a member of the Blue Paper's Advisory Committee, contributing to the systematic review of the current state and evolution of the Embodied AI data collection industry from the perspectives of technology roadmap, industry landscape, and practical deployment – providing a referential framework for the standardized development of the sector.

The Blue Paper points out that while the mass production of humanoid robots is accelerating significantly, the total amount of available real‑machine data currently meets less than 5% of the demand. Data acquisition is no longer just a "supporting component" of Embodied AI—it has become a strategic bottleneck that determines the pace of the industry, comparable in significance to chips for semiconductors or lithium for new energy. What Embodied AI truly needs is high‑quality interaction data sourced from the real physical world, encompassing multimodal information including vision, touch, force, joint angles, and spatial trajectories. This assessment further underscores the core value of large‑scale, high‑quality data acquisition capabilities in the development of Embodied AI.

It is against this backdrop that a wave of infrastructure development centered on "data acquisition" is rapidly unfolding across the country.

The release of the Blue Paper marks a shift in the competitive focus of the Embodied AI industry—from "hardware competition" toward "data competition." The publication systematically maps out the national landscape of data collection infrastructure, provides an in‑depth analysis of diverse technical pathways including teleoperation, motion capture, synthetic data, and video data, and offers a comprehensive overview of four major service provider models. At the same time, it directly addresses core pain points such as data silos, high collection costs, and the lack of standards, and puts forward strategic recommendations from the perspectives of enterprises, capital, and policy—offering the industry a complete reference framework that spans from technology to business.

CHINGMU has long been deeply engaged in optical motion capture and high‑precision positioning technologies. As a professional provider of Embodied AI data acquisition infrastructure, CHINGMU offers end‑to‑end services covering site survey and design, equipment selection and deployment, collection protocol development, raw data processing, and quality inspection and annotation—delivering a one‑stop solution. CHINGMU is capable of precisely capturing multimodal data from humans, robots, objects, and environments, and leveraging an end‑to‑end data production pipeline to provide the Embodied AI industry with scalable, reusable, and transferable real‑world data production capacity.

Looking ahead, CHINGMU will continue to leverage its technological strengths in motion capture and spatial intelligence, working with industry partners to advance data standardization, optimize collection costs, and foster ecosystem collaboration—providing more reliable data infrastructure support for the high‑quality development of the Embodied AI industry.
