From August 22 to 26, the 2nd World Humanoid Robotics Games concluded successfully at the National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing, with 666 teams and 2,056 robots from 16 countries worldwide competing on the same stage. As the motion capture technology support unit for this edition of the Games, CHINGMU provided high-precision localization tracking and motion data collection support for events and demonstration scenarios including tennis rallies and scenario-based competitions through its high-precision optical motion capture system. It transformed the position, trajectory, and posture changes of robots in real competition venues into recordable, analyzable data, providing a high-precision data foundation for motion process recording as well as subsequent performance analysis and quantitative assessment.
For different competition scenarios, CHINGMU adopted a combined marker-based and markerless motion capture solution, using K (Kunpeng) series, MC series, and R3 motion capture devices along with CMAvatar software to perform high-precision tracking of robot motion.
The mocap system deployed at the competition venues does not participate in robot control or decision-making; instead, it serves as an independent external measurement tool, providing a unified measurement benchmark and high-precision "Ground Truth." It quantifies the real motion process into objective metrics such as trajectory deviation, posture changes, and stability. This provides a data foundation for review, validation, and algorithm optimization for performance issues that could previously only be judged by experience, driving robot motion from "visible" to "accurately measurable, clearly explainable, and verifiable."
