CISDI Group has introduced the CHINGMU motion capture system to conduct high-precision real-time tracking of outdoor unmanned excavator operations. The system deploys multiple high-precision motion capture cameras around the job site to capture the 6-DoF (Six Degrees of Freedom) pose of key components including the excavator's body, boom, arm, and bucket in real time, accurately acquiring data on its motion trajectory, operational posture, and working efficiency .
This technology provides reliable real-world data support and a spatial positioning reference for the algorithm development of unmanned excavators in areas such as path planning, autonomous obstacle avoidance, bucket trajectory control, and remote teleoperation . It effectively solves the pain points of traditional onboard sensor solutions in complex outdoor scenarios like mining and construction, where GPS signals are prone to obstruction or interference, leading to reduced positioning accuracy and significant cumulative errors during long-distance and large-scale operations.
