As a leading film and television production company, Beijing Xingguang Film & Television actively explores the integration of media production and new media distribution. In Andy Lau's 40th anniversary Douyin livestream, the company partnered with CHINGMU to create an unprecedented immersive live experience using advanced virtual production technology.
In this project, virtual production served as the core highlight. CHINGMU utilized its high-precision optical motion capture system combined with real-time 3D rendering engines to seamlessly integrate virtual environments with live performances. By accurately capturing Andy Lau's movements and expressions, the virtual scenes responded in real time, delivering highly immersive and realistic visuals.
CHINGMU's system, with real-time data acquisition, sub-millimeter accuracy, and high stability, ensured reliable performance throughout the livestream. Audiences experienced dynamic virtual environments ranging from futuristic stages to nostalgic scenes, all rendered seamlessly.
Compared to traditional green screen production, virtual production significantly reduces post-production time and enhances creative flexibility. It enables real-time visualization, improving both efficiency and creative possibilities.
For large-scale events like this, virtual production not only enhances audience engagement but also sets a new benchmark for livestream innovation.
As a strategic partner, CHINGMU provided strong technical support and will continue to push the boundaries of virtual production for future media and entertainment projects.
