With the rapid growth of service robotics, performance benchmarking—particularly cleaning coverage eva1uation—has become a critical research focus. Traditional methods such as vision-based tracking and laser positioning face limitations in cost, accuracy, and real-time visualization.
To address these challenges, the research team adopted CHINGMU MC Series optical motion capture system. By using customized marker designs, the system achieves sub-millimeter 3D tracking accuracy without interfering with robot motion.
The solution has supported the development of the international standard IEC/ASTM 62885-7:2020, and has been applied in performance testing for multiple robotics companies and third-party certification bodies.
Key Results:
Replaced costly laser systems, reducing equipment requirements by 50%
Achieved high-precision metrics: Relative displacement error < 0.42 mm, Angular error < 0.036°
Reduced overall cost by more than 50%
Enabled real-time tracking and visualization of position, orientation, and velocity
Client Feedback: “CHINGMU provided the optimal solution for our PTS experiments, achieving breakthroughs in cost, efficiency, and accuracy.”
