From the construction of virtual training teaching scenarios to the cultivation of practical talents, empowering educational innovation through cutting-edge digital technologies has become a key trend in the transformation and upgrading of the global education sector. Amid this wave of digital revolution, a delegation from Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore) recently visited CHINGMU's MCP Motion Capture Creation Base located in Shanghai Peninsula 1919 Film & Television Dream Factory. Through a dual-track model of "technical experience + academic exchange," they explored the innovative applications of motion capture technology up close, seeking new directions for advancing digital education practices.

"Amazing, Aesthetic, Interesting..." These were the most frequently heard words from the teachers and students of Nanyang Polytechnic as they entered CHINGMU's MCP Motion Capture Creation Base. The neatly arranged high-precision optical motion capture cameras, a wide range of motion capture accessories, and the professional, tidy motion capture venue created a technical atmosphere entirely different from dull classrooms. To help the overseas teachers and students truly "understand" motion capture technology, CHINGMU's technical instructors disassembled the core concepts of motion capture technology through practical cases, step by step, giving them a clear understanding of its educational value and industrial potential.
After the theoretical explanation, CHINGMU designed a multi-dimensional hands-on experience session on motion capture for the teachers and students, transforming them from onlookers into practitioners, allowing them to personally feel the application scenarios of motion capture technology in education and creation. In the CMVolcap system experience area, the most exciting moment for the teachers and students was witnessing the birth of their own "digital avatars" from scratch. Alsha, a student representative from Nanyang Polytechnic, stood in the circular data collection area under the guidance of technical staff. As the equipment started, the real-time modeling progress bar on the screen kept moving, and in just a few minutes, a digital model almost identical to Alsha's figure was completely presented.

Building on the accurate generation of static digital models, CHINGMU's technical team further guided the teachers and students to experience the dynamic driving capability of motion capture technology. Two student representatives put on lightweight motion capture suits, attached tracking markers, and started the "digital human duet dance" experience. When they waved or jumped as instructed, the digital humans on the screen immediately synchronized the same movements. This real-time feedback and interactivity brought by motion capture technology not only made the teachers and students intuitively feel the precision of motion capture technology but also deepened their thinking on its application in teaching innovation within the digital entertainment field.

The innovative application of motion capture technology is not limited to capturing human movements; it can also realize dynamic capture of complex props. However, the industry faces multiple technical challenges in capturing complex props: occlusion easily occurs when props interact with the human body; the complex structure of some props makes it difficult to place markers; prop movements often involve dynamic patterns independent of the human body... CHINGMU has solved this problem through multi-dimensional technical collaboration and let everyone experience bicycle motion capture firsthand, further heating up the practical atmosphere at the visit site. After technical staff calibrated the markers on key parts of the bicycle, the student representative wearing a motion capture suit got on the stationary bike. As the pedaling movements changed, the virtual character on the screen not only synchronized the riding but also the movement trajectory of the bicycle model matched precisely, completely reproducing the "human-vehicle collaboration" dynamic scene. This allowed the teachers and students to clearly see the practical effect of complex prop capture technology.

The core significance of integrating motion capture technology with educational practice lies not only in providing "high-tech tools" for classrooms but also in reconstructing the training path for practical talents through immersive experience and real-time feedback. In the general trend of digital education development, motion capture technology, with its strong interactivity and high fidelity, can effectively break down geographical and scenario limitations, providing a new carrier for cross-border educational cooperation. CHINGMU has also been seeking to inject new vitality into the innovative development of education using AI technology. For example, it has built training room solutions for motion capture, digital humans, virtual shooting, etc., through motion capture technology, and carried out digital education courses in collaboration with high-quality industry resources based on motion capture technology, realizing the sharing of high-quality educational resources.
This in-depth exchange with Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore) is another innovative practice of CHINGMU in the international education field. It not only combines mature motion capture technology experience with educational scenarios but also accumulates new reference examples for the application of motion capture in international education through cross-border academic dialogue. In the future, we will continue to deepen our efforts in the field of "technology empowering education," explore more educational cooperation models, develop solutions adapted to different educational scenarios, further promote the in-depth integration of cutting-edge innovative technologies with educational practice, and contribute to cultivating digital creative talents with an international perspective.
