Alan Wake 2 was a big hit on Xbox last year and earned critical acclaim upon its release in October 2023. The base game was undoubtedly a complete experience, yet the team has since been working on DLC development. A new tweet from Remedy developer Sam Lake suggests its release may not be far off.

This week, Lake wrapped up his final DLC motion‑capture shoot at Remedy — in fact, this marks his last performance for Alan Wake 2. For those unaware, the renowned Remedy developer portrayed the character Alex Casey in the 2023 Alan Wake sequel.

Interestingly, the deluxe upgrade for Alan Wake 2 actually references two expansions — "Night Springs" and "Lake House" — so we are curious to see how the team plans to roll out these DLC packs. That said, the full upgrade does not cost too much, so we expect these expansions to arrive fairly soon.

In any case, we hope to get official information regarding one or both of Alan Wake 2’s DLCs shortly. The base game is a fantastic experience, which makes us even more excited for Night Springs and Lake House!
