Ebon Moss‑Bachrach appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss his role in Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four film — revealing that his character Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing, will be created using motion capture instead of a practical suit.

“Back in the day, I think they did a suit. Michael Chiklis wore a suit that was obviously incredibly uncomfortable and kind of… we’ve moved past that,” Moss‑Bachrach said. “That was cosplay‑level, amateur‑ish stuff, and now we leverage the technology we have.”

Matt Shakman (WandaVision, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters) is set to direct Fantastic Four, with the screenplay written by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Fantastic Four is scheduled for theatrical release in 2025.
