Cutting-Edge Technology, Spectacular Demonstrations, Empowering the Upgrade of Film, Animation, and Other Industries!
During the opening ceremony, a series of captivating demonstrations were held, showcasing the latest motion capture technologies and applications across different scenarios, providing guests with a deeper understanding of motion capture while delivering unique visual spectacles.
In the martial arts performance segment, a 10-person combat motion capture demonstration and a solo martial arts performance were held. Ten warriors entered the virtual battlefield, presenting an exciting multi-person combat display. Using high-precision, wide-angle, high-frame-rate motion capture cameras, every agile dodge, powerful strike, and interaction between the body and props were captured in stunning detail. The precise motion capture of various martial arts poses and body movements earned applause from the audience. The solo demonstration showcased the advantages of high-speed full-body capture through a complete set of martial arts actions. With motion capture, every move of the performer is captured, processed, and analyzed, creating digital assets for applications in CG animation production, game development, and other fields.
In the extreme cycling performance, cyclists dressed in motion capture suits performed stunts to rhythmic music. The high-speed spins, jumps, and twists were brought to life with real-time motion capture footage displayed on screens. Thanks to Qingtong Visual’s motion capture system, the performer’s skeletal movements, along with the bicycle's rigid body and trajectory, were accurately reproduced in real-time, delivering a smooth and natural experience.
In the optical finger motion demonstration, a breakthrough optical finger technology was showcased with a piano performance, illustrating the charm of fingertip artistry. The high-precision capture system accurately reconstructed the performer’s finger movements, with clear and distinct interactions between the fingers and the piano, without any occlusion. This optical finger technology not only enhances the efficiency of film animation, game production, and virtual simulation but also accelerates the development of dexterous robotics.
Furthermore, Zhang Qun, Director of the R&D Department at Qingtong Visual, provided an in-depth explanation of the full animation motion capture production process, covering space calibration, motion capture, rigging, real-time preview, data processing, and rendering output. With over 40-character captures, multi-modal capture of human bodies, props, fingers, and facial expressions, along with real-time redirection and preview, the process is more efficient, enabling deeper and more sophisticated creative expression with better cost control.
