On the 24th of September, the College of Art and Design at Qingdao Urban College hosted a seminar titled "Digital Art Frontiers: Application and Challenges of CHINGMU Technology". This event, featuring Song Yongquan, the regional director for Shandong Province at CHINGMU Qingdao, and Manager Pei Feng from Shanghai CHINGMU Technical Support Department, enhancing understanding of motion capture technology, its industry progress, and delivering an unforgettable visual feast.
As the digital wave grows, digital technology considerably enriches our lives, work, study, enhancing efficiency and providing better experiences. With respect to the development of digital art, Song Yongquan explicated the core principles of digitised humans using related cases, accompanied by practical demonstrations. This immersive educational approach allowed students and teachers to gain a deeper understanding of digital humans. The transfer of digital human technology from commercial use to academic classrooms keeps teachers and students abreast with industry developments, encouraging more application-oriented learning and cultivating high-quality talent to meet market demands.

Pei Feng, intersecting the application of motion capture in the movie animation sector, narrated to teachers and students about the application of action capture technology in film creation through well-known films such as "The Wandering Earth," "Crazy Alien," and "Fengshen Trilogy". For instance, how are actor's movements captured, how are awe-inspiring large scenes and visuals filmed, and how visual effects are composed and rendered. It unveiled the story and application scenario behind the collision of technology and art.

For the tutorial, the students showed a keen interest and actively interacted. They had discussions on digital creative techniques, the current industry development, and future career planning. Furthermore, students were able to discover the charm and pleasure of motion capture through interactive experiences wearing motion capture suits and handling props. Motion capture technology imbued new thoughts for learning and creative practice.
Teachers at the College expressed profound gratitude for the insightful lecture by CHINGMU, emphasising that such interactive pedagogical methodologies spark students' enthusiasm for learning, deepening their comprehension and mastery of technology.
