On December 22, the preparatory meeting for the Culture‑Art & Technology Committee under China Society of Art Vocational Education was held at Shanghai Film Art Vocational College. More than 30 participants took part in the meeting, including representatives from the society, as well as university‑enterprise delegates from 13 higher vocational colleges and 8 enterprises across China. Zhang Haiwei, Chairman of CHINGMU, was invited to the meeting and proposed for appointment as Vice‑Chairman of the first‑session Working Committee for Culture‑Art & Technology.

Hosted by the Secretariat of China Society of Art Vocational Education and undertaken by Shanghai Film Art Vocational College, this preparatory meeting aims to advance the integration of arts‑technology as well as culture‑tourism, improve the society’s institutional functions, and facilitate high‑quality development of art vocational education.

Prior to the meeting, under the guidance of Qu Jiahui, Dean of the Performing Arts School of Shanghai Film Art Vocational College, the delegates toured key teaching‑research facilities on campus, including the CHINGYING Digital Art Asset Development Laboratory, Digital Picture‑Book Creation Base and Joint Lighting Laboratory.

According to the college, the construction of these laboratories could not have been achieved without technical support and professional guidance from high‑tech enterprises such as CHINGMU. Driven by university‑enterprise cooperation, the college has accomplished multiple project achievements. Its faculty and students participated in the production of films including The Battle At Lake Changjin Ⅱ, Nice View and Ping‑Pong: The Triumph. The college also produced Spring Returns Again, the first virtual‑shooting experimental short film among Shanghai’s universities. These achievements not only demonstrate the college’s teaching competence and students’ creativity, but also highlight the great significance of university‑enterprise cooperation and art‑technology integration.

At the meeting, Jiang Bo, President of Shanghai Film Art Vocational College, delivered an opening address. He extended welcome to representatives from the society and all participating universities and enterprises, and gave an introduction to the college’s development history. He stated that the preparatory meeting serves as a communication bridge for universities and enterprises and carries great significance for deepening university‑enterprise collaboration and art‑technology integration. As the host institution, the college is honored to organize this event, and looks forward to joint efforts to continuously empower art‑technology integration.

Zhao Dazhi, Secretary‑General of China Society of Art Vocational Education, delivered a keynote speech, elaborating on the society’s work as well as the establishment and development prospects of its branch committees. He pointed out that vocational education is growing increasingly important. To meet market demands, vocational education should keep pace with industrial progress, proactively connect with real‑world application markets, advance digital transformation and further deepen art‑technology integration. Meanwhile, the society will focus on establishing and improving rules and systems to guarantee secure management of digital assets, underpin university‑enterprise cooperation, encourage innovation and breakthroughs, and foster vigorous development of art‑technology integration.

Shi Kesheng, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice‑President of Shanghai Film Art Vocational College, shared the college’s development philosophy, achievements and future plans under the theme “Art‑Technology Integration for Smart Future — Exploration and Practice to Build a New Engine for High‑Quality Development”. He emphasized prioritizing industry‑education integration and art‑technology integration, pursuing specialized and distinctive development, inheriting fine arts heritage, and adopting project‑oriented practical education. Liang Yue, Party Secretary of Chongqing Culture and Art Vocational College, spoke as the representative of higher‑education institutions. Drawing from years of educational experience, he summarized four key points: national requirements, industrial demands, institutional responsibilities and expectations from the society, to affirm and support the founding of the working committee. He also put forward suggestions for its future work: improve industry‑related scientific and digital literacy; strengthen cooperation between enterprises and vocational colleges, advance industry‑education integration oriented toward cutting‑edge technologies to enhance students’ dual capabilities; build a Shanghai‑rooted nationwide influence, link present‑day practice with long‑term vision, and realize mutual advancement of digital empowerment and technical literacy.

To help attendees gain deeper insights into motion capture, he presented practical cases of motion‑capture applications in anime series, feature films, digital humans and stage art. He also expressed willingness to cooperate with other enterprises to deliver more technical support and guidance for colleges, expand practical learning opportunities for students and boost institutional development.

Educational institutions can continuously cultivate high‑quality talents for society and enterprises, fueling internal corporate growth and social vitality. Furthermore, university‑enterprise cooperation enables advance training, smooth transition of students toward industry demands, and enhances students’ professional competence and social practical skills, bringing win‑win outcomes for both sides.
