From June 11 to 12, 2023, the 2023 Yangtze River Delta Shanghai International Film & Television Equipment, Short Video and Live Streaming Gear Exhibition was held at Shanghai Tanchang Film & Television Base. Hosted by China Film & Television Equipment Manufacturers Alliance, undertaken by Guangzhou Nanbowan Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Equipment Technology Committee, Distributor Committee and Short Video & Live Streaming Committee of China Film & Television Equipment Manufacturers Alliance, the exhibition welcomed CHINGMU as an official exhibitor.

CHINGMU showcased its self-developed and self-manufactured optical motion capture devices. Leveraging the high precision, ultra-low latency and outstanding stability of its MC-series cameras, CHINGMU attracted numerous on-site visitors, who actively experienced real-time virtual production interactions and group photo shooting with digital humans.

Optical motion capture is a core technology widely applied in virtual production and XR (Extended Reality) scenarios. Visitors wore motion capture suits fitted with multiple infrared reflective sensors. Multiple infrared cameras installed in the CHINGMU capture area captured real-time sensor positions and human movements. The collected motion data was transmitted to CHINGMU self-developed software for algorithm calculation and processing, generating high-precision 3D human motion model data. The data was rendered into virtual environments on on-site LED screens to realize real-time animation visualization and virtual scene presentation.

At the CHINGMU booth, attendees witnessed synchronized real-time rendering of performers’ facial expressions and body movements mapped onto virtual digital humans on LED displays.

XR virtual production technology cuts production time and post-processing workload by nearly half, greatly reducing overall production costs. It significantly improves the time efficiency, spatial flexibility and cost performance of film, television and audiovisual production workflows.
