On May 19, 2023, the Xiamen Metaverse Industry Expo grandly opened at Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Guided by China National Machinery Industry Corporation and organized by China National Machinery International Cooperation Co., Ltd., the event received strong support from multiple authorities, including the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Siming District People’s Government of Xiamen, Administrative Committee of Xiamen Torch High‑Tech Industrial Development Zone and Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

Under the theme “Coexistence of Digital and Reality, Pioneering the Future”, the expo covered nearly 7,000 square meters of exhibition area and focused on five major sectors: metaverse audio‑visual experience, cutting‑edge technologies, digital value systems, industrial applications and industry policies. Committed to building a world‑leading metaverse industry exchange platform, the event aims to fuel the high‑quality development of China’s digital economy.

At the CHINGMU booth, the self‑developed MC‑series infrared optical motion‑capture system was demonstrated live, attracting crowds of visitors. CHINGMU staff in motion‑capture suits performed five‑step martial arts routines along with background music. The virtual avatar on the LED screen reproduced every physical movement accurately and in real time through synchronous motion capture.

CHINGMU’s optical motion‑capture system boasts world‑leading performance. The current Guinness World Record for simultaneous motion capture stands at 32 people, while CHINGMU’s system can capture more than 40 people at the same time. Featuring exceptional precision and stability, the system is widely applied not only in digital human live streaming, film, animation and game development, but also in industrial automation, medical rehabilitation motion analysis and other professional fields.
