From May 5 to 6, 2023, the China Film Science and Innovation Summit together with the 14th China Film Science and Technology Forum was held in Yongchuan District, Chongqing. Co‑hosted by the Publicity Department of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee (Chongqing Film Bureau), Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, China Film Association, China Academy of Film Science and Technology, and the CPC Yongchuan District Committee and Yongchuan District People’s Government,the summit adopted the theme “Integration of Science and Film · Digital‑Driven Future”. Centered on two core themes, namely “film and television industrialization” and “talent cultivation for film‑and‑television technologies”, it launched a series of activities including China Film Science‑and‑Innovation Exhibition and the Forum on Film‑and‑Television Technology and Talent Development.
More than 800 practitioners from all sectors of the national film‑and‑television industry attended the event. On the same day, Yongchuan Tech Studio, China’s largest single‑site digital‑tech studio with full‑process virtual‑shooting workflows, was officially inaugurated. As one of the invited enterprises, CHINGMU took part in the summit and received an honorary technical recognition award.

Yongchuan Tech Studio features nationally‑leading digital‑film‑studio facilities, equipped with an LED virtual‑production system, an XR extended‑reality system and a motion‑capture system.
Its customized curved LED screen, the largest of its kind in Asia, covers a virtual‑shooting area of 800 m². With a pixel pitch of 1.95 mm and peak brightness of 2600 nits, the display fully meets Hollywood‑grade virtual‑production industrial standards. Top‑tier filming equipment including telescopic camera cranes, Steadicams, ZEISS lenses and a full‑scale lighting matrix are also deployed on‑site.
A launch ceremony was held at the summit for seven virtual film and television productions: Where the Horizon Ends, Fable, Abyss of the Lone Tree, Grand Costume Melody, Virtual Fear, When I Grow Up, I Want to Be You and Zhenzhen. The projects will be filmed at Yongchuan Tech Studio.

Eighteen technical achievements from 16 film‑production‑sector enterprises were honoured at the summit, covering shooting hardware, LED displays, software development, motion capture, virtual‑real‑world integration and special‑shot filming. All exhibiting companies are domestic technology leaders in China’s film‑and‑television industry, showcasing self‑developed, proprietary‑intellectual‑property‑protected technologies. CHINGMU was the only award‑winning enterprise based in Shanghai.

Yongchuan District signed cooperation agreements with 72 enterprises at the summit, most of the 18 exhibitors being among the signees. This marks the imminent local roll‑out of new technologies, applications and scenarios showcased at the China Film Science‑and‑Innovation Exhibition. CHINGMU independently develops and manufactures world‑class infrared optical motion‑tracking systems featuring high precision, low latency, long‑distance capture and strong robustness. Building on its technological strengths demonstrated during the summit, CHINGMU will contribute to the industrial upgrading of China’s film‑and‑television sector in the new era.

Beyond motion‑capture applications for animation and film‑and‑television production, CHINGMU’s technologies and products have served thousands of well‑known domestic and international clients across digital entertainment, virtual simulation, large‑scale VR, industrial automation‑oriented scientific research and bioengineering, delivering full‑stack digital services for diversified industrial use‑cases.
