December 26–27, 2022 witnessed the successful convening of the 1st World Digital Cultural Tourism Conference. Hosted by the People’s Government of Liandu District, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province and the Digital Technology Business Group of Ant Group, and undertaken by Lishui Ant Chain Industrial Innovation Center and the National Specialized, Refined, Unique and Innovative Enterprise Cultivation Base (Hangzhou), the conference centered on the core theme of “Making Technology More Civilized and Culture More Confident”.

It gathered leading domestic metaverse enterprises including Alibaba, NetEase, Ant Chain and CHINGMU Vision. Through cutting-edge products such as virtual digital humans, optical motion capture, AR/VR devices and metaverse social spaces, participants showcased the pioneering implementation of digital cultural tourism in the metaverse context and how world-leading digital intelligent technologies empower the intelligent upgrading of the global cultural tourism industry.
Industry experts from various vertical sectors shared feasible development paths for digital cultural tourism from the perspectives of the metaverse, digital content creation and technological innovation. Invited by the conference, Shang Kun, Partner of CHINGMU Vision, delivered a keynote speech themed “Empowering the Cultural Tourism Metaverse with Digital Content”.

Virtual digital humans and virtual simulation serve as core components of digital cultural tourism, and motion capture technology, as the fundamental creation technology, is indispensable to the industry development.

Shang Kun introduced optical motion capture technology to Hua Qun, CEO of Hyperdimensional Metaverse.
At this conference, CHINGMU Vision showcased Prometheus, its ten-thousand-yuan-level optical motion capture system. The product marks a groundbreaking reduction in the application cost of virtual digital humans in China. Similar to the butterfly effect, it drives industrial innovation, optimizes the industrial ecosystem and structure, and enables virtual digital humans to achieve wider popularization, diversified development and broader application scenarios.
New vocational roles including virtual commentators, virtual guides and virtual performers have been widely applied in cultural tourism venues across the country. Featuring low-latency real-time interaction and intelligent services, virtual digital humans create immersive interactive environments for tourists and deliver diversified, multi-scenario and multi-form cultural tourism experiences.
Beyond virtual digital human applications, CHINGMU’s MC series optical motion capture systems help cultural tourism venues build immersive CAVE stereoscopic experience spaces. Supporting Powerwall virtual simulation systems, HOLOSPACE multi-surface virtual simulation display systems and CAVE cave systems, the stereoscopic positioning technology realizes full-dimensional simulation of vision, hearing, touch, force sense, smell, taste and motion. It restores real-world elements to deliver ultra-realistic and tangible cultural tourism experiences. Furthermore, the virtual simulation systems are widely applicable in medicine, entertainment, aerospace, interior design, real estate development, industrial simulation, emergency deduction, education and training and other industries.

Beijing Runer Network Technology adopted CHINGMU optical motion capture systems for virtual simulation projects.
As the cultural tourism industry accelerates digital transformation, CHINGMU Vision will leverage its robust technological strength and R&D capabilities to cooperate with more partners, develop diversified experience modes and business formats. Empowered by digital technologies, Chinese culture will thrive in the broader cultural tourism metaverse and embrace innovative vitality in the new era.
