For fourteen consecutive years, Yunqi Town in Hangzhou has hosted Yunqi Conference, a grand gathering dedicated to digital‑technology innovation. From November 3 to 5, 2022, the three‑day‑long 2022 Hangzhou Yunqi Conference, co‑hosted by Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology and Alibaba Group, kicked off successfully.

Hall D1 at the exhibition site showcased a wide range of XR‑enabled experiences. Divided into four thematic zones — Wonder Universe, Smart Mobility, Functional‑Tech World and Innovative Electronics, the hall presented more than 1,000 new tech products. Centered on the theme “Land of the Future”, the exhibition drew large crowds of visiting participants.
One of the featured highlights, Huajinqu Spacetime Administration, generated holographic imagery through real‑time video processing modules and optical motion‑capture technology. Visitors were able to experience cutting‑edge, transcendent services including 4K glasses‑free 3D display and cloud‑based remote meetings.

CHINGMU Vision provided optical motion‑capture technical support for the Huajinqu H‑BOX Holo‑Pod. CHINGMU’s in‑house digital avatar Xiao Xin also represented the company at the Yunqi Conference. As a meta‑virtual‑world digital‑human ambassador, Xiao Xin carried out a truly‑immersive, cross‑spatial conversation with on‑site audiences inside the H‑BOX Holo‑Pod.


The H‑BOX Holo‑Pod renders layered‑perspective processing on 2‑D images and leverages spatial depth to create lifelike 3‑D visual effects for flat‑screen characters. Virtual avatars such as CHINGMU’s Xiao‑Xin are transformed into tangible, three‑dimensional figures that appear to exist physically within the confined space of the holographic cabin.
Combining 3‑D scanning and artificial‑intelligence technology, the H‑BOX Holo‑Pod digitizes real‑life people. Integrated with AR live‑streaming and M‑View multi‑angle interactive broadcasting, the system produces real‑time holographic projections inside the pod. Long‑distance 3‑D human transmission, once seen only in science‑fiction films, can now be achieved effortlessly with H‑BOX. It enables face‑to‑face real‑time interaction between remote users and innovative digital‑twin experiences. From President Bach’s holographic torch relay at the Winter Olympics to the Asia‑Pacific Youth Music Moment, where global artists “appeared” on‑site through the holographic cabin, the glasses‑free‑3‑D H‑BOX display device keeps expanding into new application scenarios.
When paired with motion‑capture technology, holography enables not‑only virtual interaction between real‑world participants, but also real‑time engagement between virtual characters and the physical environment. As foundational interactive infrastructure, motion capture accurately tracks spatial position and posture. Together with facial‑expression and conversational feedback, it brings rich, lifelike digital‑human performances to life.
Powered by CHINGMU’s motion‑capture system and Huajinqu’s holographic‑display technology, CHINGMU’s virtual ambassador Xiao‑Xin engaged in close‑range communication with visitors and journalists at Yunqi Conference. While audiences normally interacted with Xiao‑Xin only through mobile‑phone live‑stream screens, at the event the avatar was able to carry out both verbal dialogue and physical, cross‑space interactions within the holographic cabin.
Many futuristic tech experiences showcased under the theme “Land of the Future” are currently demonstrated mainly at exhibitions and forums. Nevertheless, display technologies represented by holography and interactive technologies represented by motion capture will eventually become more accessible in daily‑life scenarios, delivering people‑oriented, intelligent experiences and empowering our tech‑driven future.
