On April 28, 2018, the launching ceremony and emerging‑industry exchange forum of Shanghai University (Jiaxing) Emerging‑Industry Research Institute was held at Jiaxing Science and Technology City, Zhejiang Province. The institute commits itself to commercializing high‑tech achievements, incubating enterprises, fostering strategic emerging industries and cultivating innovative talents in fields covering nanomaterials, optoelectronic information, intelligent manufacturing and robotics. Government officials of Jiaxing, leaders from the Administrative Committee of Jiaxing Science‑Technology City, representatives of Shanghai University and invited guests attended the event and witnessed the unveiling ceremony.

Zhang Haiwei, Founder of CHINGMU Vision, was invited to take part in the project‑signing activity. He demonstrated the MC1300 motion‑capture system for visiting guests in CHINGMU’s exhibition office. CHINGMU Vision established its headquarters inside Shanghai University Science Park in July 2015 and has received consistent, strong support from the park ever since its founding. In April 2017, CHINGMU supplied its self‑developed motion‑capture system to Vancouver Film School, supporting Shanghai University’s initiative to build a film‑and‑television base and revitalize the local motion‑picture industry.

By settling into the Shanghai‑University‑led Jiaxing institute, CHINGMU will build a new‑development hub focused primarily on VR‑driven education. As virtual‑reality technology matures, its educational value keeps emerging. VR is a human‑computer‑interaction technology that creates highly‑simulated virtual environments and reproduces multi‑sensory feedback for users. With VR equipment, students can gain near‑real‑world learning and hands‑on operational experience inside mixed‑reality teaching scenarios. CHINGMU’s motion‑capture systems and virtual‑simulation solutions have already been deployed at Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai University of Sport, Shanghai Business‑Tourism School, Northeast Forestry University and many other higher‑education, vocational and K‑12 institutions.

Building upon its Shanghai headquarters, CHINGMU Vision has embarked on cross‑regional expansion. New‑branch sites have been launched successively in Taicang and Jiaxing to strengthen industrial synergy across the Yangtze‑River‑Delta region. A regional office in Chengdu has also been set up to explore markets in Southwest China. As an industry specialist in motion‑capture technology, CHINGMU will keep prioritizing independent innovation and deliver professional solutions and high‑quality services to clients at home and abroad.
