300-Square-Meter Motion Capture Teaching Center

With the advancements in technologies such as AIGC, motion capture, and 3D real-time rendering, industries like film and television animation, advertising, and digital media have achieved new breakthroughs, continually expanding their creative boundaries while maintaining a balance between efficiency and quality. In this context, accelerating the convergence between academic institutions and industry progress is of paramount importance. It not only benefits the development of educational institutions, enhances their academic prowess, and cultivates high-quality, skilled talents but also fuels the industry with a continuous influx of fresh blood, stimulating industry vitality and driving innovation and upgrading.

As the first private university in Anhui Province, Anhui Sanlian College has firmly anchored itself in strategic emerging industries such as next-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital creativity, and life sciences, both nationally and within Anhui Province. The college prioritizes the development of six applied discipline clusters, including "traffic safety, health and aging care, and digital arts." Furthermore, the college actively promotes industry-education integration and close collaboration with industries. To bolster the discipline construction of digital media arts and animation, enhance the innovative development capabilities of these disciplines, and cultivate students with forward-thinking, practical skills, critical thinking, and innovative abilities, the college has partnered with ChingMu Vision to establish a digital image production training base (Motion Capture Teaching Center).

Student Creative Scenarios in Educational Institutions

Occupying approximately 300 square meters, this base is equipped with ChingMu Vision's MC series optical motion capture cameras, making it the largest infrared optical motion capture facility in Anhui Province. Throughout the construction process, ChingMu Vision provided comprehensive technical support and guidance for motion capture solutions, significantly contributing to the base's educational and research functions. Additionally, the base is equipped with safety devices like wire stunt rigs, gymnastics mats, and yoga mats, as well as multiple sets of professional equipment, including high-performance data acquisition computers and on-site monitoring TV projection devices. Integrating advanced technologies in optical motion capture and digital creativity, this facility provides robust equipment, venues, and technical support for courses in film and television animation, game development, and project practices.

Based on this center's establishment, the college has introduced a three-dimensional motion capture course, significantly advancing the teaching development of digital arts media and animation at Anhui Sanlian College. It has provided practical platforms and project opportunities for students from the 20th, 22nd, and 23rd grades. In the 16th Anniversary Elite Contest of the National 3D Competition in 2024, three students from the 20th grade of the college won the first prize in the provincial competition of the East China region with their outstanding works and performances. This achievement not only showcases the students' solid professional skills and innovative abilities but also further validates the positive role of the base in discipline development and talent cultivation.

Anhui Sanlian College, approved by the Ministry of Education of China, is a provincial ordinary undergraduate institution with the authority to confer bachelor's degrees. It is also a newly approved master's degree granting institution in Anhui Province and a project unit for peak discipline development. The college has been recognized with various honors, including the Advanced Collective in Graduate Employment Work of Anhui's Ordinary Colleges and Universities, the Model Unit in Graduate Employment Work of Anhui's Ordinary Colleges and Universities, and the Demonstration School for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education of Anhui's Ordinary Colleges and Universities.
