As one of China's most authoritative and influential competitions in robotics and artificial intelligence, the achievements of the RAICOM Robot Developer Competition have consistently served as an important reference for industry innovation, attracting high attention from universities, enterprises, and research institutions. On August 11, the 2025 RAICOM Competition CAIR Engineering Challenge—"Embodied Intelligence Optical Motion Capture Challenge" finals, hosted by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and exclusively supported by CHINGMU, concluded successfully at the Hangzhou Artificial Intelligence Town.

Distinguished guests, including Zhu Shiqiang (Deputy Party Secretary of Zhejiang University and Dean of the Robotics Institute), Qu Laijun (Deputy Director of the Education and Training Department at the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), and Li Biqing (Executive Vice President of the Zhejiang Robotics Industry Development Association), attended the event. Numerous universities across China actively participated, gathering for this grand technological feast to explore the boundless possibilities of embodied intelligence.

With the rapid development of robotics and AI, embodied intelligence has become a crucial research direction in this interdisciplinary field. How can we advance robots from "mechanical execution" to "human-like perception and decision-making"? Motion capture technology, as the critical link connecting movement and machines, serves as an indispensable core driver. By precisely capturing motion trajectories and analyzing data, it empowers embodied intelligence to better understand environmental and task requirements, enabling natural and efficient human-machine collaboration. Simultaneously, it provides a practical platform for integrating cutting-edge technologies like multimodal perception and motion control, accelerating the transition of embodied intelligence from lab research to industrial applications.

Fierce Competition | Comprehensive Display of Technical Challenges

At the competition, 16 teams from universities nationwide—including Zhejiang University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, North University of China, and Liaoning University of Technology—demonstrated their prowess. Leveraging CHINGMU's optical motion capture system, they engaged in intense competition across two key tracks: dexterous hand precision control and air-ground cooperative control, focusing on core technologies such as visual recognition, motion control, data acquisition and transmission, algorithm learning, and path planning. During the finals, teams achieved remarkable results, showcasing impressive dexterous hand control and precise agent positioning within limited timeframes, fully highlighting their innovative thinking and technical capabilities in embodied intelligence cooperative control.
