Dance Movement Analysis and Scoring at Beijing Normal University

Motion capture technology is employed to comprehensively record the entire process of dance instruction, capturing omnidirectional and multi-faceted movement information. This provides data-driven support for improvement, resulting in more comprehensive, detailed, and replayable dance teaching curricula. It revolutionizes the traditional one-to-many teaching approach, fostering a diversified teaching methodology where movements are digitized, analyses are targeted, and deficiencies are easily identified and addressed. This transformation offers quantifiable and referential theoretical foundations for enhancing teachers' instructional methods and elevating students' dance proficiency.

Furthermore, this technology serves as a vital support and service for the college's exploration into the rejuvenation of Chinese cultural development. It aids the college in applying for relevant national key projects under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as significant special projects in Beijing, contributing to the establishment of a non-material cultural heritage body movement database.
